It’s part cafe, part library, part time capsule—designed to spark curiosity and conversation. The environment is warm and inspiring, filled with books, ambient lighting, and displays centered around long-term thinking and sustainability. The drinks are excellent. I always go for the ginger tea—it’s simple, grounding, and perfectly brewed—but their coffee options are equally impressive, with a focus on quality and balance. Whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or planning to stay a while, the experience feels elevated. There’s something to learn in every corner, including the restrooms, where even the walls offer infographics and thought-provoking visuals. Bar seating, ample space, and a calm energy make it ideal for solo visits or quiet meetings. The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. This place is more than a cafe—it’s a full sensory and intellectual experience. Easily one of my favorite coffee shops in the world.

My favorite spot to indulged myself to yummy Ginger Hot Tea. Always enjoyed my time in this librarymuseum atmosphere. I bring friends to join me this time and they enjoyed their latte and cappuccino. I did try their impressive cocktails creations and it’s amazing as well. Highly recommended!

Been vacationing in the Marina area for years now, and just barely discovered this place. Was here for a girl’s weekend and a friend found this place on Yelp. We came after lunch at about 1pm and it was quiet. Most had their laptops and were doing work. My friend and I were at the bar jibber jabbering. Steven was the bartender and not only was he a great mixologist, but he had really good recommendations. This is one of those kinds of places where you want to try their specialty drinks. Don’t do your usual stuff. I am picky and only like drinks served up so Steven asked me a few questions before making a recommendation. We had three drinks each, a cookie and beef jerky before leaving. Parking is easy and there’s plenty. Park, use the machine and grab your receipt. FYI, parking machine says to add your cell so they can forewarn you 15 minutes before your time ends; that DOES NOT WORK. Make sure you keep an eye on the time which we did. Awesome new spot (for me) and will be back!

If you’re one of those people who are prone to deep thoughts when you’ve had a drink then OH BOY is this place going to be up your alley. The Interval is a cocktail bar / cafe situated within the headquarters of the Long Now Foundation, an organization devoted to the idea that we would do well as a species if we thought about our actions - past, present, and future - in greater timescales. I’m not going to pretend I know all the details, but what I do know is the cocktails are outstanding (and appropriately, well thought out), the staff is highly skilled (see previous), and the atmosphere is super cool and admittedly inspiring. Maybe we could all afford to spend a little more time thinking... even while we spend a little time drinking.
